There seems to be a beetle laying on a patch of mud. Why? Why does he seem to enjoy the earth this much,
and more importantly, why does he live in the swamp? A life off the grid seems desirable for some,
though where his home is very interesting. He seems to stay here to appreciate the vast wildlife and
amazing scenery, despite all of the problems of living here. Plus, it all seems to be an inspiration for
the art that he tends to create in his spare time. This is all kinds of unusual, but for Darril, it's home sweet home.

“To love a swamp, however, is to love what is muted and marginal, what exists in the shadows, what shoulders its way out of mud and scurries along the damp edges of what is most commonly praised. And sometimes its invisibility is a blessing. Swamps and bogs are places of transition and wild growth, breeding grounds, experimental labs where organisms and ideas have the luxury of being out of the spotlight, where the imagination can mutate and mate, send tendrils into and out of the water.”
